Dior SunglassesFrenchman Christian Dior started his adult life studying political science. Later his interests turned to dress and ladies' hat designs. But he became most prominent in the fashion industry shortly after World War II. He took advantage of the fact that in his home country France, most of the French were war-weary and ready for new ideas. So Dior designed the "New Look" in fashions, which stressed sophistication and femininity. Though not widely accepted at first, eventually the new fashion trend became quite popular around the world. By the mid 50s, Dior had become a pioneer in the area of world-wide fashion design. After Dior's death in 1957, the Dior company spread it's designing ideas into the world of men's clothing, and eventually apparel such as eyewear. Dior is still headquartered in Paris, but of course has shops all over the fshion world. Dior is famous for "haute couture", or "high-sewing", which means that their appareal is designed to be custom-fitted. And this style does not just apply to clothes, but can really apply to anything one can wear. For example, Dior prides on making sunglasses that will fit the face to your liking, and can be adjusted to stay in place. They always offer outstanding comfort with their glasses, and of course will ensure the best protection against harmful sun rays.
